The new Ruger Super Wrangler convertible .22 LR / .22 WMR Single

Ruger is expanding its very popular Wrangler single-action rimfire revolver line introduced in 2019 with the Super Wrangler family. What distinguishes the Super Wrangler revolvers is the robust steel frame and the fact that they ships with two 6-shot cylinders in .22 LR and .22 WMR respectively, allowing you to quickly convert between the two cartridges.
"The attractive price, combined with the affordability of rimfire ammunition, make this revolver ideal for learning to shoot, introducing friends or family to the sport, or just experiencing the fun of single-action shooting," they claim art Ruger. Converting from inexpensive .22 LR ammo to the more powerful .22 WMR cartridges actually expands the possibilities of use of these revolvers. At an MSRP in the U.S. of $329, they make an inexpensive option.
Made through the use of modern CNC-machining methods and lean manufacturing techniques, the new Super Wrangler revolvers are initially offered in three Cerakote finishes – black, silver and bronze – with a 5.5"/140 mm cold hammer-forged barrel and windage- and elevation-adjustable target sights.
A traditional transfer bar mechanism and the loading gate interlock provide security against accidental discharge. The cold hammer-forged barrel results in ultra-precise rifling that provides accuracy and longevity, while the Cerakote finish provides rugged reliability in all environments.
The Super Wrangler revolvers also feature standard synthetic checkered black grip panels that can be swapped for Single-Six panels, allowing for a variety of customized options. Moreover, the Super Wrangler will fit in Single-Six holsters that accommodate 5.5" barrels. (But cylinders are unique to the Super Wrangler, and are not interchangeable with standard aluminum-frame Wrangler or Single-Six Convertible cylinders.)
