Fortnite: All New Weapons In Chapter 4, Season 3

Fortnite brings in some new guns for the latest season: Fortnite WILDS, and some of the best guns in Fortnite return, whilst others are Vaulted.

With a brand-new season coming to Fortnite, new and returning players might want to see what's different about the ever-changing loot pool. Fortnite WILDS, Chapter 4, season 3, sees the Meta change once again, with vaulted guns, unvaulted guns, and even some new additions to the game's almost infinite arsenal to get the Victory Royale.

Players can expect all new guns in Fortnite, as well as a few returning options that will help them in this constantly exhilarating and changing Battle Royale game. Fortnite WILDS will see players roll out alongside Optimus Prime with some new loot in their inventory, but are the new Fortnite guns any good?

Alongside the release of Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 3, players will be able to not only unlock Optimus Prime, but they will be able to bring a Cybertron Cannon into the fight. This weapon is of Mythic rarity but is not that hard to find. Players can loot one from the ground, chests, or even off of other players, and it's a weapon strong enough to take out Transformers and players, but it's banned in competitive play.

The Cybertron Cannon has two charges, with a 30-second cooldown between shots. It's a great weapon for destroying structures and can deal up to 110 damage to a player caught in the blast zone. It's a devastating cannon, and considering it takes up one slot in the inventory, it's worth having but is certainly not a weapon players should use in close-quarter combat.

Based on the Lewis gun, the Flapjack Rifle debuts in Fortnite as part of the normal loot pool. The various rarities of the Flapjack Rifle will change its stats, but the weapon will always play out the same. The Flapjack Rifle has a large ammo count, meaning players can destroy cover and builds by holding down the trigger.

Not only is the high capacity of the Flapjack Rifle a great advantage, but its fast-firing, high-impact bullets will surely decimate opponents that dare cross the firing beam of death. The Flapjack Rifle is like an updated version of the Drum Gun, but this one is more in theme with Fortnite WILDS and packs a more violent punch.

The DMR has quickly become an iconic Fortnite gun due to its use of a first-person scope and long-range firing capability. Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 3 brings another version of the DMR into the fold with the Thermal DMR. This Fortnite weapon comes with a thermal scope that will allow players to see their enemies through the foliage of the jungle terrain thanks to the Predator-like scope.

The DMR still hits like a truck, so aim correctly and use this weapon to take advantage of the battlefield. If players are not a fan of the thermal scope, they can click on the right stick to change the scope back to normal. The Thermal DMR is found as part of the normal loot pool, and certainly worth picking up.

Another new gun in Fortnite is the Kinetic Boomerang. This weapon will replace the player's right hand with a wooden gauntlet that can throw and retrieve a wooden boomerang with a metal edge. The Kinetic Boomerang is a violent addition to Fortnite, and players should learn to master it to effectively bring it into the battles awaiting those that embark on Fortnite WILDS.

The Kinetic Boomerang is found all around the map, but more frequently in the new Fortnite POI locations. Players can throw the Kinetic Boomerang, and upon hitting an enemy, it will deal over 60 damage, and quickly return to the player. Players can spam-throw the Kinetic Boomerang, and if they get a headshot, that's a vicious 110 damage. Players can also press the fire button when the Kinetic Boomerang is in mid-air to explode the boomerang and return it.

There's something mischievous about catching bugs in jars and using them against players. The Wildwasp Jar can be found around Fortnite, or caught in jars in the new WILDS POI locations. If players throw the Wildwasp Jar at their enemies, a violent swarm of angry wasps will sting and attack other players.

The Wildwasp Jar tracks enemy players, constantly pestering and chasing them unless players destroy them or enter mud or water. The Wildwasp Jars aren't the greatest loot to add to a player's loadout, but there's no harm in adding something that could disperse enemies from their hiding spot.

Alongside some of the new weapons in Fortnite, players can expect some returning loot from previous seasons. These following weapons have featured in Fortnite's past, and they have returned from the Fortnite Vault to provide players will a new loot pool.

It may sadden some players to see some of the best Fortnite weapons leave the loot pool in Chapter 4, Season 3. All hope is not lost, as once these weapons enter the Vault, nobody says they can't leave it later down the line. The weapons listed below have all been Vaulted in Fortnite WILDS, and perhaps the biggest loss is the Combat Shotgun, an avid weapon for John Wick fans.
